I am just sort of sketching out ideas and starting to practice making them into pixels. I am currently on a flower pot. Reflection: I finished a pixel! This is my lazy version of a tree in a flower pot and a chocolate

Goal and Reflection

I am having a hard time making pixels, but I plan to keep working on it. I really haven't gotten much done, but I am determined to continue this.

Goal and Reflection

This week I am going to make a animated pixel of either a unicorn, a corgi, or a female character. I may try to do all, but this is just a little project while I draw out another piece. This other piece will be slightly a horror piece. Not so much so, but just creepy. I plan to go for a more stylized character and see how more I can do to make it colorful and a bit dirty. The piece will basically be a psycho girl with a animal mascot head on and a variety of colors that may or may not be alien blood splatters. :)

Reflection: My key got printed!

Goal and Reflection

I am finished with my unicorn, but it will not load. I might start a pixel project or something or go finish my painting for the art show.

I am thinking of what to do, but I am at a loss.

I hope to complete my unicorn this week, but I am having a hard time getting the bugs ironed out.

Reflection:
I think I might be done and ready to print. I am going to use a strong white so the it doesn't fall apart. I might color it, but I doubt it since the color material cannot get all of the detail that I put in. Done before the art show, but I will not submit it since the horse was made by someone else and I had to attach it together and add a bunch of stuff, but I still did not do it on my own. This is purely so I can have a statue of my favorite childhood mystical creature.

Goal and Reflection

This week I am going to draw out my idea in sketches to see the various poses. Until I am sure on the idea though I am going to do a series of pixels and try to animate a few. Some pixels that I want to do are origami characters, fantasy, and adorable cuteness.

Reflection: I suddenly decided I wanted another printed out 3d object before the year is out. I wanted this to be real quick so I found a model already made and downloaded it. I want a unicorn type of figure that can sit on my work area, but finding horse figures was hard. I downloaded one that had rigs and everything but it came in pieces so I had to put it back together. Here is the horse put together and pulled apart.

3/13/12 Goal And Reflection

My goal this week is to find another project to do. If I do not then I will just sculpt a origami piece on Maya if I can figure out how to make it thin enough to look cool but be able to print it. I am right where I want to be since I finished my project and now I am waiting for it to be printed.

Reflection: I think I found some ideas that I like. A few are:
A protest piece
Origami
Human looking robots
Cartoon looking character

For the cartoon character I was thinking of just making something someone up and using them as a representation of myself in art.

Analysis: I really like how this is a mix of style. It is realistic, while giving a vector art feeling with the skeleton. The artist listened to Adele while painting this and I really get the raw feeling from the piece and that Adele portrays. I would like to be this good, but I can only dream.

Proposal: I am going to illustrate something. Not sure as to what, but I want it to be of a nice quality and stylized. I also want to make something that represents me and includes the styles that have influenced me.

This week I am going to find some inspiration and think about a new project.

Reflection on New Project

I am not sure as to what I want to do. I might do two projects at once so I don't get bored. I am torn between doing another painting or a 3d sculpture. I am thinking of making a sort of tribute piece to some of my favorite books or movies. Some ideas I have for paintings are zombies, Disney princess interpretations/or a new princess, or some concept ideas for stories I want to write. I really want to do a piece on the anarchy going on around the world. I really want to be a part of it, but I live so far away so maybe my art will reach the rebels that are fighting.

I am going to look around for inspiration on a new project.

I finished my key unless some other things are wrong with it. I am going to get it priced to see how much it is to print out.

Weekly Goal and Reflection

This week I want to have most of my key done and ready to put together.

Reflection: This Week I almost finished my key. I worked hard on it and I am quite impressed with how it is coming along. I can't wait to print it.

This week I hope to finish my key's bow shape. I also want to start on the bottom of the key and form the bit.

Reflection: This week I mostly got my bow done. I just need to add a couple of things to it so it will retain it's shape.

I am going to try to get an drawing done of my key by the end of this week. I also hope to sketch out some other ideas for an illustration.

Reflection:I got myself a finished drawing. I started on my maya sculpting as well. I will post a progress picture next week because I want to get further along.

Proposal

While I am trying to think of something to illustrate I will do another project in the meantime. I am going to make a key and print it out at Shapeways. I plan for it to be a skeleton key. Some of my ideas for it are a little complicated so I'm trying to iron that out. I plan to have a sketch done next week and start on it around then. It will be done in Maya.

1/17/12 Weekly Goal And Reflection

This week I am going to practice some more tutorials and post my progress on them.

Reflection:

I sort of failed this week. I tried to draw an eye but that didn't turn out too good. I did do a bubble tutorial. It looks terrible.

Week Reflection and Progress

I am mostly just taking on tutorials and seeing how far I can take them. Eventually I want to be able to speed paint. I got some fire done just to see if I can do it.
